SUMIDA has developed an inductive Rotor-Position-Sensor (RPS) for the promising
hybrid-electric vehicles market. This is a key area of focus under Sumida's Mid-Term
Business Plan for 2010-12.
SUMIDA CORPORATION announced today that it has set up a new plant in Haiphong, Vietnam. This plant will maintain a close link with the existing manufacturing center of expertise and excellence in south China. It will also meet the needs of customers who require geographical alternatives in terms of manufacturing sites, and it will allow Sumida to diversify its manufacturing base and improve its cost structure.
SUMIDA CORPORATION (CEO: Shigeyuki Yawata, with the headquarters located at Chuo ward in Tokyo) have developed a high-quality inductor and a DC/DC transformer for automobiles, which are based on AEC-Q200 reliability tests and can withstand temperature up to 180℃.
